MEET SHANA
I am an old soul, who is always searching for the balance in life--in work and play, in being a wife and a mom, in the give and take of relationships, in reaching for the stars and finding contentment where I am. I have been practicing yoga for almost 20 years, and began my mindfulness journey in 2017. I came to the practice in search of something to help my daughter with anxiety as a small child, and found that not only did it help her, it profoundly changed me. I found the open door to the balance.
I have a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre and had a successful legal career as a public defender. I'm also a certified yoga and mindfulness instructor (200RYT) with additional certifications in Kids Yoga, Yoga for Special Needs Children and Mindfulness for Parents. I use everything I know in my classes, from acting games to active listening, and believe that it is my unique combination of learned experience that makes me successful in this work. I want to share everything I know and continue to learn with you, so that you too can find your balance.
Mindfulness isn't difficult, we just need to remember to do it.
